Attention, gamers! On the 8th of July Outpost Antwerp will be opening up some of our rigs to everyone to test the Belgian indie game title Rise of Humanity! This also marks the launch of a new line of events: the Belgian Game Days!
This first edition's kick-off starts at 13h00 the action doesn't stop until the late hours.
Additionally, attending the event will earn you an early access key for the game on Steam as well and the best part is, all of this is completely free! Our only expectation from you is that you consume something, but saving humanity is a thankless job that will undoubtedly make anyone thirsty. In these times it is also important that we are able to plan out our events properly, so please register for the event right here.
Developed by Belgian indie game developer Cybernetic Walrus, Rise of Humanity is a turn-based battle simulator using a system of digital cards to make your every move count. Using these cards, you will be able to assemble a deck that, along with your wit, will be the only thing standing between you and certain doom for humanity! These poor unfortunate souls managed to create a new, super powerful AI they failed to control. Thus, the AI started running rampant and eradicated nearly all human life. It is the player's job to guide some of the last survivors through this post-apocalyptic hellscape towards a brighter future for all of mankind. Op 8 juli maakt Outpost Antwerpen een heel aantal van onze mighty Outpost rigs vrij voor iedereen voor de Belgische indie game Rise of Humanity! Dit kadert in een nieuwe reeks events: de Belgian Game Days! De kick-off van deze eerste editie gebeurt om 13u en de actie stopt pas in de late uurtjes.
Daarnaast krijg je ook nog eens een early access key voor de game op Steam puur voor je aanwezigheid op het event, maar dat is nog niet eens het beste nieuws want het is ook helemaal gratis! Het enige dat van jou verwacht wordt is dat je iets consumeert, maar van de mensheid redden krijg je toch ongetwijfeld dorst. In de huidige periode is het wel belangrijk dat we goed op tijd alles grondig kunnen plannen dus gelieve je hier in te schrijven.
Rise of Humanity is ontwikkeld door de Belgische indie studio Cybernetic Walrus en is een turn-based gevechtssimulator die een systeem van digitale kaarten gebruikt die je toelaten om elke beweging die je maakt tactisch aan te pakken. Gebruik makende van deze kaarten kan je een deck samenstellen dat, samen met je eigen spitsheid, het enige is dat tussen jou en een zekere ondergang voor het menselijke ras staat. Zij hebben namelijk een nieuwe super AI ontwikkeld die ze niet onder controle konden houden en de mensheid systematisch is beginnen uitroeien. Het is dan aan de speler om de laatste overlevenden door dit postapocalyptisch schouwspel te loodsen naar een nieuwe toekomst voor het menselijke ras.
