Catch up on some history as we set sail for the 7 Wonders of the World with an all new expansion for one of Boardnado's most popular games! You know the one I'm talking about, right?
Throughout history mankind has built some pretty amazing things. Naturally scholars (and in present day: newspapers, television, and corporations) have compiled lists of what they think are the most splendid, most amazing ones. These structures are known as wonders.
In ancient times Herodotus and Callimachus narrowed these wonders down to 7. These included the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, and the Colossus or Rhodes. These feats of construction are usually what we think about when someone mentions 'The 7 Wonders of the World'. (Sadly the Pyramid at Giza is the only one of these still standing).
But there have been others! During the age of enlightenment scholars wrote of the 'Medieval Wonders' which included the Colloseum, the Porcelain Tower of Nanjing, and the Great Wall of China.
Board game enthousiasts will know by now where I'm going with this as all these breathtaking sights are part of the popular board game: 7 Wonders.
Not only do you attempt to build these wonders during the game, you also control your own empire that you try to increase in status beyond that of the other players (thus winning the game).
While 7 Wonders is a very established game among the board game community it so happens that on the 25th of October a new expansion released called 'Armada'. This adds nautical power to your empires on a brand new additional gameboard which provides you with even more means to gain resources, advance your military, and increase in power.
To celebrate the release of this expansion Boardnado is hosting a special event on November 17th in Outpost Antwerp. It will run from 18:00 until 20:00. Not only will you be given the chance to play the expansion, if you attend you will walk away with an exclusive wonder card!
Be mindful that we have a very limited pool of these promos. Priority will be given to those who preregister, or buy the expansion during the event.
The entry fee will be 2.50 Euro, which will go to sponsoring future Boardnado events.
