The Magic Preliminary Pro Tour Qualifier for 2018 is here! It's time to take your games of Magic to the highest level.

Atlanta SkylineNo doubt many of you reading this are familiar with PPTQ's, what they are, how they work, and so forth. If you are indeed knowledgeable then you may safely skip the following two paragraphs, if not: read on!

The road to the highest tiers of competitive play in Magic is long and hard. It has to be in order to sift through the many thousands of Magic players and select only the best. For those of you just starting on this journey: you're in luck, as competing in a PPTQ is the very first step you have to take.

PPTQs or Preliminary Pro Tour Qualifiers are the first hurdle to overcome on your way to stardom. Only the winner of a PPTQ can go compete in an RPTQ or Regional Pro Tour Qualifier. The winner of that event then finally goes on to compete in Atlanta in order to obtain ultimate glory.

Now that we're all up to speed it's time for some event data:

* The event will take place on May 27th.

* The PPTQ will be run in Standard Constructed format at Outpost Gamecenters in Antwerp.

* The doors to the venue open at 10:00, while the tournament begins at 11:00.

* Decklists are required.

* There will be an entry fee of 15 Euro.

* Every participant will go home with at least one booster (and possibly many more depending on how high you place). You can find an overview of prizes here.

It goes without saying that the top prize is the invite to the RPTQ, which only the winner of the event can obtain.

Good luck planeswalkers! May you always draw well.
