Resist the light or embrace it? Choose your path with the latest addition to the Pokémon TCG: Forbidden Light!

Zygarde-GXBy now we've probably all heard the story, but let's repeat it for those who might not. Necrozma-GX has gone Super Saiyan as ULTRA NECROZMA-GX! Pokémon and their trainers across the Kalos region of Alola are deciding whether to embrace whatever Light-powers Ultra Necrozma-GX puts out, or resist it.

Thus is the latest set of 130 cards introduced and although Ultra Necrozma-GX is definitely the star of the show there are several interesting Pokémon and strategies that accompany the set as a whole.

Take Zygarde-GX for example. Apart from being a dangerous Pokémon in itself its Verdict-GX is especially lethal. But it gets even better! Combine Zygarde-GX with its buddy Bonnie (who is a trainer card) and you can use Verdict-GX twice! Breaking the rules of GX-powers!

BonnieOf course, Bonnie can only be played when a Stadium card is in play and she discards the card in question. Could be advantageous if your opponent has a stadium you don't like OR you can combine it with the new stadium card: Ultra Space. This card allows you to draw any Ultra Beast (including Zygarde-GX!)

If that isn't enough synergy for you then consider adding the new Beast-Energy card. Although you can have only one it counts as any kind of energy and adds 20 to an Ultra Beast's attack!

And there are many more interesting combinations possible of course!

Forbidden Light is out today on our webstore and in our physical stores with single cards following suit!
