Welcome to another update by your favorite channel: BOOOOOOAAAARDNAAAADOOOOOO! Are you ready for a somewhat unique experience in board gaming? Something epic and of long-duration? Then read on!

 

So Sunday the 20th of December in Outpost Ghent and the 2nd of January at Outpost Antwerp we are going to try something different. (We like to change things up.) Instead of holding an event with a ton of playable games we are going to be hosting only ONE board game.

 

But oh boy is it massive.

We'll be playing Mega Civilization. A game that can be played by up to 18 people! Not only that, one game takes about 10 hours to finish! *le gasp* So we're actually asking a serious commitment from all participants. Please only sign up if you're ready for this.

 

During the game you'll be advancing your little civilization from 12.000 BC to year 0. It's not really a race or a wargame (although there will probably be skirmishes). The winner will be the person who can develop their city the most without incurring too many losses. Trade and negotiation will be paramount to achieving this. Don't worry, at all times there will be two moderators making sure everything is running smoothly. They are also there to help you, so don't hesitate to ask questions. This means that if you're new to the game, but you really want to join up you will be able to!

 

Because of the fact that we can only accomodate 18 players we ask that you register yourself at our Boardnado Facebook Page, which can be found here. The entry fee is 10 euros and the game starts at 10.00h. Both Outpost Ghent and Outpost Antwerp have their own game so when you sign up, please add where you want to join. (OP:G will be open earlier for this event.) If you want to join both times you can! As both Outposts will hold their sessions at different dates.

 

Apart from recieving a day's worth of fun and entertainment every participant will recieve 2 Nalu drinks courtesy of Coca Cola. When the game ends everyone will get their chance to acquire the Mega Civilisation Game at discounted price. So you do not need to win if you really want the game. However we only have one copy! So it'll be a little bit of a bidding war! You might wonder why we don't simply give the game to the winner? The reason being that since this is a competitive game, people might try to team up or perform other shenanigans in order to gain an unfair advantage. We like to avoid this.
