What is Pokémon Day?

The first Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green, were released in Japan on February 27, 1996, launching a worldwide franchise. Since then, February 27 has been celebrated as Pokémon Day, a time to come together and celebrate all things Pokémon.
