The Magic League program officially launches with Amonkhet on May 1, 2017 and will run for four weeks in Outpost Antwerp, ending on May 28. League is a quick-start, casual program for players of all levels.
Its flexible, on-going play makes it easy for players to jump in and start playing at their own pace.
The rules for the league are as follows:
- Upon entering the league, which costs 10€ to join, players receive an Amonkhet league card, a league card storage box and 3 Amonkhet booster packs from which they build a 30-card minimum deck. They may play any number of matches, recording each on their league card. Matches should be one game and each player may take one free mulligan per match.
- Every week players may purchase and add 1 Amonkhet booster to their pool. The minimum deck size remains unchanged.
- After three losses and only once per week, players may purchase an additional Amonkhet booster pack to add to their pool.
New players may join the league at any time during the four-week period and are allowed to purchase additional boosters for any week they missed to add to their initial 3-booster pool.
Prizes:
Players who played 10+ games are rewarded with a 4-sided participation die and receive a cool double-sided, foil Gremlin/Energy-token.
