The Rivals of Ixalan Magic League is designed for to get newer players acquainted to Magic: the Gathering through a series of casual games.
 
Participants receive a Welcome Deck and a free Rivals of Ixalan booster with which to construct their deck.
They also receive a deckbox and an Ixalan score sheet with which to track their matches.

Deck Construction:

Players may update their welcome deck with the contents of their Rivals of Ixalan booster. Afterwards, the deck should contain at least 30 cards (including basic lands).
Alternatively, they may purchase 3 extra boosters for 9€ at the start of the league to add to their card pool.
After every three losses and at every Saturday meet-up, participants may purchase an extra booster for 3€ to add to their pool.
Note your results on your score sheet thoroughly so we can track how many fresh boosters you can add to your card pool.

Gameplay:

Every saturday at 13h00 we meet up to play games and to purchase boosters and update our deck, but you may play games in our store at any time.

Matches consist of only a single game, though you may agree to play best-of-3 matches at your own leisure.

Each player gets one free mulligan at the start of the game.

There is no limit on the amount of matches you play during the course of the league, though you should try to avoid to play the same opponent twice in a row. At our final Saturday meet-up, we will host a small swiss-style tournament, where you can win some cool promo cards, to see who built the best league deck.

Every participant of that tournament receives the League Promo card "Evolving Wilds" to add to their collection.
