Outpost is looking for an "ambassador" to help set up KeyForge tournaments in Outpost. Think you're the person we're searching for? Then read on!
Here in Outpost we're always looking for new things that we can do or play in our gamecenters. Sometimes we come across a game with really neat features or gameplay where we think: "Hmm, this could be something." We have this feeling right now when we look at KeyForge.
KeyForge is a new card game by Fantasy Flight with a unique element to it. It's decks are randomized and generated by an algorythm. This means that every deck you buy is completely unique and different from all the others. In fact, the card back has a randomly generated name so (unless you use sleeves) you can't use cards from one deck in another deck because it's immediately apparent to everyone that you're cheating.
This makes for a unique "sealed deck" experience where everyone buys a deck, tries to figure out how its mechanics work, and then try to get top rank in tournament play. It sounds like a fun new take on a trusty old format.
Of course, I can already hear some people say: "But what about deck balance? What about card synergy?" ... Well so far, from a lot of playtesting, that seems to be totally fine! In fact, we went to a board game fair not long ago and found the game to be a LOT of fun.
So we really want to support some KeyForge tournaments in our Outposts, but there is one problem. We do not have the manpower to do it.
That is why we need an ambassador from among you guys! Someone who looks at this game like we do and thinks: "I totally want to support this".
So what does being a KeyForge ambassador mean? What do you have to do? Well, you'll help organise events for the game together with our event managers and you'll have to be present at those events to explain everything and make sure it all runs smoothly. This requires that you know a lot about KeyForge of course.
In return we'll provide backing for the game you love, as well as give the ambassador some unique perks for their troubles.
