Preorder the 2019 Core Set Now!

You thought it was gone, but its back now: an all new core set for Magic!

Core Sets saw a brief hiatus after they were discontinued shortly after Magic: Origins came out. Now they're back and the new set, Core Set 2019, boasts 280 cards presumably ordened as 20 basic land, 101 commons, 80 uncommons, 53 rares, and 15 Mythic Rares.

The set introduces us to a new planeswalker (Vivien) and will contain a special Transforming Legend card (like in Magic Origins): Nicol Bolas, the Ravager/The Arisen.

Speaking of our dear dragon overlord: a story is being written about him by Kate Elliot about a conflict he once had with Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. Not much is known yet (the release of the set is still a ways away), but I don't think it'll end well. No story that features Nicol Bolas ends on a happy note.
