The very first (testing) season for the City League has come and gone. Enemies were crushed, pizza was consumed, but what were the overall scores like for our Overwatch teams?

The Antwerp Giantkillers started off strong with an opening victory against Athens. They lost the next day to Rotterdam Terror in a crushing 4-0 defeat, but that also turned out to be their very last this season.

You heard it: turned out Antwerp was quite competitive this season having gone 4 victories to 1 loss during the whole of the City League. Special thanks to our Team Captain Mutlee, but also to the stellar performances of the other players: Core, Noobbani, Senpai, dOObie, GhostZ, Lightning, Dwibbel, Dabs en Gadget228. You guys were Epic.

Preseason Wins and Losses for the Antwerp Giantkillers

Antwerp Giantkillers vs Gdansk Reconnect 4-0
Antwerp Giantkillers vs Rotterdam Terror 0-4
Antwerp Giantkillers vs Liverpool Horizon 4-0
Antwerp Giantkillers vs Zagreb Wolves 3-1

The Ghent Giants seemed ready to just waltz through the whole of City League after their first two 4-0 victories. It was like nothing could stop them. Sadly they met heavy resistance from Milan and Wien which they lost against.

Nevertheless our heroes returned triumphant in their last game vs Warsaw Meta which they once again spectacularly crushed with their 4-0 punch! Kudos to dieterzLs for being an awesome team captain as well as the rest of the team: hevin, emgine, Impulse, Typhen, KingFabbe, kollibri, Specialist, and Dieffs. We look forward to seeing you again when the first 'real' season starts.

So that was our last City League roundup we couldn't be happier with how the season went. Both from the player's point of view and on an organisational level. We'd love to continue this project once it launches for realsies and hopefully we will. Until then know that our teams stood their ground and defended the Belgian honour (and that of Outpost) well!
