This Sunday, the 22nd, Outposts Antwerp & Brussels will host a Pokémon Sun & Moon Prerelease Tournament to celebrate the upcoming set. Outpost Ghent will host one on the 29th !

Eggecutor AlolaPokémon Sun & Moon's release is on the horizon. Of course we understand that some of you can't wait to get your hands on those new Alola Pokémon so to that end we're holding a prerelease tournament!

At the start of the event, at least if you're in Outpost Antwerp or Brussels, all participants will receive a special prerelease pack. This pack will contain 4 Sun & Moon boosters as well as a 23 card evolution deck featuring some key cards to flesh out your eventual 40-card deck with. Of course you'll be needing energy! So don't forget to bring ample energy cards of all possible types as you don't know what you'll be getting!

In Outpost Ghent the tournament will be hosted on the 29th of January and things will work out a bit differently. They still adhere to an older prerelease format and do not have access to the evolution packs so instead you'll be getting 2 extra boosters (meaning 6 boosters in total) to build your deck with. Mind you this does increase your odds of getting rare and valueable Pokémon from the new set! Just as in the other Outposts you'll be required to bring your own energy.

Once you've build your 40-card deck using your boosters, brought energy (and evolution pack if you're in OPA or OPB) prepare to duel it out with your fellow trainers in a Limited – Swiss Rounds format!

The tournament is just for fun though as everyone, losers and winners alike, will receive 3 additional booster packs and 1 of 4 alternate promo cards. Players in Ghent sadly do not have access to this exclusive card (although they will get the three packs), but they will get some additional prize support in the form of sleeves, deck boxes, etc to be given away during the tournament.

The deck building and tournament is expected to last about 4h, from 14:00 until 18:00 for OPA and from 12:00 until 16:00 in OPG and from 13:00 till 17:00 in OPB. The fee to enter is 28 Euro and covers everything mentioned above.

Naturally you can keep any and all of the cards from the boosters and the prerelease package so be the first to own a piece of the new Alola region! Perhaps even, if you're lucky, a shiny legendary GX Pokémon! The latest new card type with an attack so devastating you can only have one of these cards in your deck!

See you next Sundays trainers!
