Why you should use Outpost to support a Kickstarter

Our selection process kind of goes like this. We (as in: the faithful minions) look up some of the best/most interesting boardgame kickstarters on the net. Then we contact the creators directly and reserve a number of kickstarters editions which you can order in our shop, just like any other game. This makes for a completely stress-free experience as, once you order, we'll take care of everything from that point on. Since we select our Kickstarters with care the chances of a failed product are so low they're practically nonexistant. It makes getting an interesting, special game much easier without the hassle of getting a Kickstarter account or having to use Visa, Mastercard or PayPal.

Because we order several copies at once we're at times, though not always, saving on shipping costs. Which sometimes translate into a cheaper price. However a product will never be more expensive than it would be if you were to buy it through the Kickstarter page and paid for shipping yourself.

Another big plus is that the danger of sudden surprise import taxes is completely negated since you're technically buying locally and not from another country that might be outside the EU.

Things to be aware of when ordering a Kickstarter product

Of course, it being a Kickstarter means there are certain things you need to be aware of. One of them is that it can take quite a while for you to receive your product as it still needs to go through its entire production process. Oftentimes delays do happen, which makes a specific release date extremely difficult to determine. Rest assured though that we'll stay on top of everything and you will get your edition as soon as possible, often before it ever hits retail shelves and with far more extras!

Another thing is that Kickstarter Editions of a game often come with those special goodies which makes them quite unique, in fact it's often impossible to acquire a Kickstarter edition of a game once it hits retail shelves. That's why we usually have a very specific amount of them for sale. These will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. So if you're interested don't wait too long! Once we're sold out it will often be impossible to order more.

Lastly there's the most important question of all: What are you getting? Apart from a product description and link to the kickstarter page itself every Outpost Approved Kickstarter will have its own article which explains details about the game as well as exactly what you'll be getting when you buy through our store. We'll try our hardest to be as clear as possible, because kickstarter pages can often be confusing if you're not experienced with them.
